Investors are attracted to the Moroccan market by a number of attractive factors, including geographical proximity, political stability, a very stable macroeconomic framework, the development of its infrastructure, ambitious national programmes supported by the state, an increasingly well-trained human capital, and a developed consumer market thanks to the free trade agreements signed by Morocco with its main trading partners.
Moreover, sectoral strategies have been developed both to modernise traditional sectors, such as agriculture, agri-food and textiles and clothing, and to develop innovative industries, such as the automotive, aeronautics and renewable energy sectors.

Opportunities

The business climate shows Morocco’s continued commitment to improving its economic environment. The new Investment Charter is aimed at improving the environment in which economic actors operate and enhancing the Kingdom’s attractiveness as a continental and international platform for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The investment charter includes measures aimed at streamlining administrative procedures, creating (tax) incentives and granting guarantees to foreign investors on the transfer of profits and capital.
