The Regional Minister for Economic Development of Lombardy, Guido Guidesi, and the President of the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Italy, Luigi Patìmo, have signed at Palazzo Lombardia a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting economic and commercial cooperation between companies from both territories.
The purpose of the agreement is to create a framework for collaboration that fosters investment, knowledge exchange, and stronger relations between the Lombard and Spanish production systems.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, and the Ambassador of Spain to Italy, Miguel Ángel Fernández-Palacios.
“This Memorandum of Understanding,” stated President Fontana and Minister Guidesi, “is part of the path that the Lombardy Region is pursuing to strengthen international economic relations and create new growth opportunities for our business system.”
Among the main objectives of the protocol are the creation of strategic partnerships between Lombard and Spanish companies and the promotion of new bilateral investment opportunities.
The Lombardy Region and the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Italy also commit to promoting, within their respective territories, tools that support businesses, with the aim of providing concrete assistance to Spanish companies seeking to strengthen their presence in the Italian market.
The agreement further provides for joint initiatives in innovation, research, and competitiveness, encouraging dialogue between entrepreneurs, institutions, and economic stakeholders.
