The Association of Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce in Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania (the “Association”) or “FEDECOM” is a Spanish, voluntary and non-profit association, which groups and integrates the Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Navigation, officially recognized by the Spanish Administration and established in the relevant countries of Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania (the “Associated Chambers”).
It represents the unity of its members and their will to promote in a coordinated way the development of economic, commercial, cultural and scientific relations between Spain and Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
The Board of Directors is the permanent management and administrative body of the association, being in charge of the management and administration of FEDECOM, as well as executor of the resolutions of the Assembly.
FEDECOM reflects the dynamism of Spanish businesses and serves as a key economic intelligence tool for the internationalisation of Spanish companies and the external action of the State. The primary mission of FEDECOM, an international non-profit association, is to defend the general interests of its member Chambers and the companies they represent, provide information on appropriate tools for the optimal development of their activities, collaborate with the Chamber of Spain, and maintain relations with other international institutions. The Spanish Chambers of Commerce abroad are part of the global network of Chambers of Commerce promoted and coordinated by the Chamber of Spain. FEDECOM operates in support of Spanish companies, from Lisbon to Sydney, including London, Rabat, Dubai, New Delhi, and Manila. Never before have so many initiatives been undertaken, and above all, never with such coordination and alignment with Spain’s needs, which inevitably require that internationalisation once again becomes a driving force for the recovery of the Spanish economy. The recent establishment of chambers such as the one in Thailand significantly strengthens the Federation and enhances its ability to provide services that benefit Spain’s general interests in the host country, while also fostering Spanish exports and investments in key markets for Spain.
